Engagement confirmed — a written scope and a confirmed order exist.

Deposit captured — by the payment processor, where a deposit applies to the engagement.

Funds remain with the processor — throughout delivery. They do not enter Talent Moderne's accounts at any point.

Released on settlement — against the written scope, at closeout.

If an engagement does not proceed

Engagements are sometimes paused, not pursued, or closed early. When that happens you receive an approved, written reason and a settlement determined against the written scope and the work performed to that point. Refunds, where due, are processed through the payment processor. We aim to communicate the reason and the settlement position within 10 business days of the decision.

Delivered and closed — settled against the written scope at closeout.

Paused by agreement — position held; terms and timing confirmed in writing.

Not pursued — approved reason communicated; settlement determined against work performed.
